So you read the post about me finding 'The One' and now is the time to show her off!  Without further ado here's my Jim Hjelm 8950.

I just love the neckline of the dress and its form fitting style.  This dress was very much me.  Though it have been a little challenging getting into the dress, it was all worth it in the end!

The dress really did show off my 'ass'ets, but there's nothing wrong with that right!?  With this train I ended up with a french bustle, which looked gorgeous during the reception, and might I add worked well during our first dance (stay tuned for that post)!

Though the dress might not be beach appropriate, it was me, and that's what it's really all about right!  It's all about me & 'The One' (and I do mean the hubby this time)!

Did your dress reflect your style or was it something totally not you, but still fell in love with it?

Now that its all over, I wanna show off the dress!!  I've been waiting to blog about it for quite sometime, but then I was too scared the fiance might see it, plus I wanted our guests to be a little surprised!  In the beginning months of wedding planning, I was always flipping through bridal magazine and Jim Hjelm's dress designs always caught my eye!  So despite the costs, I was determined to walk down the aisle in Jim Hjelm!
Every girl envisions how they would look walking down the aisle to meet their future husband, right?!  Well I pictured myself in something romantic, a trumpet or mermaid style dress (a dress that'll show off my 'ASS'ets (heehee)!   At first I feel in love with this one, an all lace number, it's so classic & elegant, wouldn't you agree?

But when I tried it on, it wasn't quite what I pictured.  I basically looked like a doily, as my sister would say!  So this dress was out of the running!  Next dress, I tried...

...a gorgeous modified A-line with a floral one strap.  Stunning isn't it, but this dress didn't quite bring me tears of joy or the over excitement of finding 'The One.'  I could sense that finding my dress was getting closer.
So then the bridal consultant showed me this baby...

OMG, it was love at first sight!!!  It's everything I imagined I would wear walking down that sandy aisle & saying "I DO" under the Arubian sun!  After trying this baby on and getting the smiling approval of my mother, mother in law to be and my loving sister, I knew it was meant for me!  Though there were no tears of joy, there was utter happiness and lots of jumping for joy, seriously lots of jumping!

So after months of waiting for the dress to come in and then the fittings to follow, I carefully (hand) carried this beaut to Aruba!  The dress made it safely to paradise and I rocked it out!  I couldn't have seen myself in something more gorgeous or more ME, than THIS dress!

Stay tuned for the debut of the me and "THE ONE!"
Did you end up in a dress that you envisioned from the beginning or did you go with something totally different than what you imagined?

I'm really excited about the upcoming trip my friends are planning for my bachelorette party!  It'll be a fun filled weekend with my closest girlfriends in Atlantic City!  Some background information:  AC is where Fi and I had our 2nd meeting and our first kiss!  My girlfriends (April & Grace- the party hostesses) & I always referred to AC as our mini-Vegas!  So of course we saw it fit to have my last single-lady celebration at the place where it all began, besides the travel time and expense is far less compared to a trip to Vegas.
The final head count of girls attending this trip is crazy and gets me super excited when I hear it.  Get this, there will be 17, that's right 17 girls attending this out of town event!  A 5 hour drive for most and a whole weekend for all!  Recently, my friend told me that I was "popular" after hearing the final head count.  I told her, "I'm not popular, just LOVED!'  Her response, "ABSOLUTELY!"  That text conversation brought a smile to my face because I feel that it is so true and I'm very thankful for being so loved!
So in my excitement, I went shopping for a dress!  I found the perfect dress at Bebe and on impulse purchased it on the spot!  Here she is:

The reason why its perfect, is 'cause it's sexy (which I try to pull off), it's my wedding color (coincidence), and I got it for a bargain (well kinda)!  The price tag to this beauty is $150, but I had $100 GC to Bebe that was waiting patiently to be used.  I've had the GC for 2 yrs, I know its a long time and I was scared I'd lose money on it, but that wasn't the case when I bought this puppy!  So, lesson learned, patience is a virtue!
Are you doing anything crazy for your bachelorette party?  What are you doing to prepare for your celebration?

arrived 2 months ago and I haven't gone to the bridal store to see it yet!!!  Part of me was nervous to go and try it on, like it wouldn't fit or I wouldn't have that same feeling!!  Don't get me wrong I love my dress, but it just makes me nervous!!  Is that weird, anyone felt that way when they're dress arrived?
So to settle my nerves, some of my closest girlfriends came along ( I'm so thankful for them, thanks ladies)!  After our arrival to the bridal shop, the girls relaxed and chit chatted while I went into the dressing room and prepared to play bride!  When the consultant pulled the dress out of the bag, my breath was taken away (AGAIN)!  It was the same dress I fell in love with when I tried on the sample, except this one is all mine!!
Its hard to get into a wedding dress, let me tell you!  Trying not to get makep on it or rip a seam, its hard work.  So after much twisting and tugging into my dress, I put the veil in place while the consultant fluffed the dress.  I couldn't get over how I looked...GORGEOUS!!  After I was done admiring myself (really I'm not vain) and having my moment, I was ready to share.  The curtains open, and my friends, cameras in hand, were in awe!!  They were full of compliments and flashes were going off everywhere (another paparrazi moment).  It was such a wonderful moment and I was so happy they were there to share it with me!

After 30 mintues of admiring and picture taking, it was time to take off the dress (*insert sad face here*).  But  I will revisit "her" in March when its time for alterations. Though the dress fit like a glove, the only alteration I'll need is a bustle placement.  Now it was time to spend the rest of the afternoon in good company and good food!
