Rewind to the post I wrote about our OOT bag inspiration.  Remember seeing this beautiful puppy, a Longchamp "IT Bag"?  Beautiful isn't it?  Modern with a little twist and it's trendy.

Feast your eyes on this bad boy...

About a month ago we got this mock up mailed to us from Nana (fi's wonderful cousin).  We love it, but there was still something that didn't get our full approval. The date is what was throwing us off.  We wanted bags that we knew our guests could use again and sometimes using dates or monograms can shy them away from reusing the bag.  To make it less obvious, we wanted to change the date format so Nana emailed us our choices of fonts to use.  I know, minor detail, but still a detail that needs attention (my crafting side is very meticulous)!

But even after reviewing our choices we thought it still needed a change.  I came up with the idea of making the numbers look like a serial number (ladies you know what I mean- the serial number in the bag that certifies the bag is "authentic").  Doing it this way wouldn't be so obvious that the numbers shown was our wedding date.  So we jointed it down on paper (the date without the decimals) and we were really liked the way it looked.  Afterwards, we shared our thoughts with Nana, she agreed and now we present to you the FINAL LOOK of our OOT bags hot of the press!!  Gorgeous isn't it!?
What do you think of the "serial number/date" idea?  Do you think I was being too picky and it didn't matter or do you think this looks better and I was right in changing it?

Do you remember the awful experience we had at Macy's?  Well our recent experience was much different at Bed, Bath, and Beyond!  We walked into the store with an open mind, in hopes that it wouldn't be another dreadful experience.  We strolled in on a busy Sunday afternoon, I know, we should've and we tried to do it on a weekday, but with the fiance's crazy work schedule, a busy Sunday afternoon would have to suffice.
Once we entered the store we were directed to go to the back where the Bridal Registry is located and there we were greeted right away, by Catherine a BBB manager, already this experience is a 180 from the Macy's nightmare.  Shortly after, we filled out our paperwork while she entered us into the system, then we were finally ready to grab the gun and scan away (so we thought).
After a couple of minutes of perusing through the fine china, with her following our every move (holding the scanner, mind you), we realized that she was gonna tag-a-long while we shopped!  At first we were disappointed that we didn't get to run around the store like crazy children scanning anything and everything.  To be honest, we we're glad that she shopped with us.  A store like Bed, Bath, and Beyond can be overwhelming, especially if there are 5 different types of the same thing!  Catherine was able to answer all our questions, help us comparison shop (price and brand selections), and even let us know which brands were the bestsellers.  She didn't rush us at all, even though I felt like I had no clue what we wanted on our registry.  FYI ladies (and gents), make a list of wants and needs before leaving the house, it'll cut the time in half!
So to sum it all up, our registry experience at BBB was an A+!!!  We decided to drop Macy's and just keep BBB as our only registry, so hopefully it will be pleasant customer service from here on out!  Did you have crazy registry experiences like we've had or were you lucky enough to have nothing but greatness?

A vision came to me before I went to bed last night and I couldn't stop thinking about it all day!  It's airplanes!  That's right, I've been thinking about airplanes all day, so when I have a vision, I'm all about it until I find it.  My intention is to hand make cards for my BMs with a little parting gift I found from Michael's Arts & Crafts.  To get my 'maids excited for the trip to Aruba I purchased passport covers and luggage tags for each one!

But I also want to include a Thank You card with an airplane on the front cover (I'll post this once it's done)!  So can you see my dilemma and why I've been thinking about airplanes?  I first looked for stickers, but then it came to me that I should use a stamp instead so I can make goodie bags (with an airplane on the bag) for departing guests at check out!!  I'm so stoked, are you getting my vision now?

I found one that I really, really, really like, but it's from 3 years ago (picture below)

Then I found this on Etsy, but I really just want the plane!

Then I came across these tags in my search, also on Etsy.  So I convo'ed the seller and asked where the stamp was from.  I hope she shares her secret!

I just want my vision to come full circle.  Was there a project or a minor detail that you spent all day contemplating!?  Nerve racking isn't it?
